Longtime Franciscan pastor dies

TOHATCHI — The Tohatchi community lost one of its kinder — and colorful — souls this week. The Rev. John Mittelstadt, O.F.M., the longtime pastor of St. Mary Mission, died on Monday after struggling with ill health for a number of years.
